Morris Day & the Time is coming to the Stanislaus County Fair on Friday, July 19, 2013 on the Budweiser Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. The concert will be hosted by KWIN 97.7/98.3 and is free with the price of Fair admission.
Morris Day got his start by performing with Prince in his first band, Grand Central. Prince wanted to create a band that represented his “alter ego.” This cool street wise band, in contrast to Prince’s soulful R&B sound, was a perfect fit for Morris Day. Day whose fashion is inspired by his grandfather’s Zoot Suits, brings funk to life with “Get It Up,” “Cool” and “Girl.”
With his flashy dance moves and smooth, clever lyrics, Morris Day & the Time get audiences moving and grooving.
