STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR ANNOUNCES CEO TRANSITION
Turlock, CA (December 14, 2022) – The Stanislaus County Fair announced today that Matt Cranford has informed The Fair Board of Directors of his intention to resign his position as Chief Executive Officer to pursue other Fair/Event related opportunities at the California Exposition and State Fair.
“We are excited and sad at the same time for Matt Cranford, as he will leave the Stanislaus County Fair at the end of December 2022. Matt has been a huge part of the Turlock Fairgrounds and will deeply be missed by his community and coworkers,” commented Board President, Ray Souza.
Matt has been with the Stanislaus County Fair for over 7 years and during his tenure the fair has been a huge success with his expertise and knowledge. He flourishingly saw the fair through the pandemic, dramatically increased the use of the fairgrounds for community events and had one of the most successful Fairs ever this past July.
At a special board meeting on Tuesday, December 13, the Board unanimously voted to approve Kim Williams as the Interim CEO. Kim has been an employee with the Fair since 2010 and will help guide the fair through the transition to a new CEO. “Kim’s experience of the fair and the operations of the facility will be a benefit as the board looks for a new CEO” stated President Souza.
