Best of Show
(Minimum
100 adults)
►When
only the very best will do, treat your guests to an evening
they will always remember at Stanislaus County’s largest
community event. We’ve reserved a private gathering tent
with a 10’ “welcome” banner on which your company’s logo is
featured in full color. Best of Show it is--complete with a
tri tip and chicken BBQ with all the trimmings and a clown
to entertain the kids until they clean their plates. Plus,
each guest will receive an official fair t-shirt, with your
company’s logo imprinted on the sleeve in one color. After
your meal, your guests will enjoy unlimited rides in the
exciting midway, which features more than 35 rides,
including 14 rides especially for the kiddies.

BLUE RIBBON

VIPs are our VIPs and the Blue Ribbon package has been
designed especially for those who want to treat their guests
to a traditional night at the award-winning county fair.
Included with the Blue Ribbon package is an all-American hot
dog and hamburger BBQ, hosted in a private gathering tent,
plus a night of unlimited rides at one of the finest
carnivals in the central valley.

RIBBON

you want to treat your guests to a traditional day at the
county fair without including a meal? Then the Red Ribbon
package is just for you! Your guests will enjoy a
family-filled day or night at the fair including unlimited
rides—from the ups and downs of the horse-filled carousel to
the thrill-seeking experience on the Zipper! The county
fair and rides go together, just like peas and carrots!

►Is
your tummy rumbling, but not up for a spin? This is the
package just for you and your guests—it includes the
all-American, all-beef hot dog and juicy hamburger BBQ, at
the private gathering tent we’ve reserved for you and your
guests. But, instead of spinning on rides in the carnival,
you’ll be strolling the 72-acre, shaded fairgrounds enjoying
the 26,000 individual exhibits and all the free
entertainment included with everyone’s visit to the fair!

GENERAL INFORMATION
The 2008 fair opens on Friday, July 25 and continues through
Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008.The award-winning Stanislaus County
Fair is now in its 97th year and is a long time
family tradition for thousands of central valley residents.
In 2008, the fair received a 1st place award for
Best Overall Children’s Program from the Western Fairs
Association. The fair has twice been voted “favorite all
around event” in the Modesto Bee’s Readers Choice
Awards.
Reservations:
The fair runs 10 days/nights per summer, so early
reservations are encouraged to insure your first choice
date. For packages with a meal, a $250 non-refundable
deposit is required to reserve your date. The deposit will
be applied to your total cost. To make your group

The deadline for group reservations that include a meal is
June 1, 2008.
Fair Hours:
The fair opens weekdays at 5 p.m. and weekends at noon.
Exhibit buildings are open until
11 p.m. each evening.
Celebrity Concerts:
A big name concert is hosted nightly at 8:30 p.m. on the
Budweiser Variety Free Stage.
The amphitheater style area seats over 3,000 guests.
Celebrity concerts are open to all fair guests and seating
is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reserved
or assigned concert seating is not included with any
package. Acts are booked and announced between January and
June each year and are subject to change without notice.
Private Gathering Tent:
The private gathering tent is included with each package
that features a meal. The tent is located to the east of
the Floriculture Building on Broadway Avenue, near the
historical arch gate entrance. The tent is reserved for
groups in two-hour time blocks.
Meals:
BBQs are served weekends at the following times: 12:00 p.m.;
2:30 p.m.; 5:00 p.m.; and 7:30 p.m. Weeknight meal times are
5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. For groups larger than 250 adults,
longer time blocks may be available.
In addition to the entrée listed in your group package, your
BBQ meal includes:

Unlimited Carnival Ride Wristbands:
Butler Amusement’s award-winning
carnival
features more than 35 exciting rides, including 14
rides especially for kiddies. Additional unlimited ride
wristbands may be purchased in increments of 25 wristbands
at $18 each.
Important
Note: Please be advised that ALL riders must either have a
ride wristband or ride coupons to enjoy our rides. This
includes parents/adults accompanying children who do not
meet height requirements to ride alone on family rides.
Final Count and Payment:
The final count and payment for your group event is due
Tuesday, July 1, 2008. Payment may be made by check, Visa,
or MasterCard.
T-Shirts:
If you have purchased the Best of Show package with the
t-shirt option, your size requirements are due on July 1,
2008. Shirts are available in the following unisex sizes:
Adults: Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large. Add $2.50 per
person for adult size XXL. Youth: Small, Medium, and Large.
Banner and T-Shirt Artwork:
Groups that have selected the Best of Show package with
t-shirts must submit their company’s logo electronically as
a one-color EPS file, converted to outlines. Also, for
producing the welcome banner, we will need your company’s
logo in full color, also as an EPS file, converted to
outlines. Artwork is due on or before July 1, 2008. Email
artwork to
events@stancofair.com.
Parking:
While parking is included with every adult package (one
parking coupon per package), it is important for your guests
to understand that the parking lots may fill to capacity on
any given day. Therefore, we highly recommend that your
guests arrive by at least 6 p.m. for best availability of a
space in the parking lots. Parking is available on a
first-come, first-serve basis and cannot be guaranteed.
Parking coupons are not included with child-priced packages.
Delivery:
Group package tickets and t-shirts will be hand-delivered to
your place of business at a mutually agreeable appointment
time the week of July 14.
