Best of Show

When only the very best will do, treat your guests to an experience they will always remember at the Stanislaus County Fair. We’ve reserved a private gathering tent that includes an 8’ “welcome” banner featuring your company’s full-color logo along with your company name and logo in lights on the fairs giant LED sign on the day of your picnic (located near the corner of Fulkerth & Golden State Blvd.). Best of Show it is--complete with a tri tip and chicken BBQ with all the trimmings and special fair entertainment to entertain the kids until they clean their plates. After your meal, your guests will enjoy unlimited rides in the exciting midway, which features more than 35 rides, including 14 rides especially for the kiddies.

BLUE RIBBON

The Blue Ribbon package has been designed especially for those who want to treat their guests to a traditional night at the award-winning county fair. Included with the Blue Ribbon package is an all-American hot dog and hamburger BBQ, hosted in a private gathering tent, plus a night of unlimited rides at one of the finest carnivals in the central valley.

RED RIBBON

Fri & Sat (Minimum 100 people)

Is your tummy rumbling, but not up for a spin? The Red Ribbon is the package just for you and your guests—it includes the all-American hot dog and hamburger BBQ at the private gathering tent we’ve reserved for you and your guests. But, instead of spinning on rides in the carnival, you’ll be strolling along the 72-acre, shaded fairgrounds enjoying the 26,000 individual exhibits and all the free entertainment included with everyone’s visit to the fair!

$30 per adult

$22 per child (age 12 and under)

$12.50 per child (age 5 and under)

 

 Upgrade to a chicken and tri tip menu for an additional $2.50 per person (except age 5 and under).

  

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Stanislaus County Fair’s company picnic program is award-winning—it was honored with a 1st place award by the Western Fairs Association.  The 2010 fair opens on Friday, July 16 and continues through Sunday, July 25, 2010.  The award-winning Stanislaus County Fair is now in its 99th year and is a long time family tradition for thousands of central valley residents. The fair has twice been voted “favorite all around event” in the 2009 Modesto Bee’s Readers Choice Awards and received Western Fairs Association’s 1st place award for Best Children’s Program.

 

Reservations:  The fair runs 10 days/nights per summer, so early reservations are encouraged to ensure your first choice date.  A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date. The deposit will be applied to your total cost.  To make your group reservation contact Special Event Coordinator Jenny Dornan at 209-668-1333 extension 339 or email events@stancofair.com. The deadline for group reservations June 1, 2010. 

 

Fair Hours: The fair opens weekdays at 5 p.m. and weekends at noon.  Exhibit buildings are open until 11 p.m. each evening.

 

Celebrity Concerts: A big name concert is hosted nightly at 8:30 p.m. on the Budweiser Variety Free Stage.  The amphitheater style area seats over 3,000 guests. Celebrity concerts are open to all fair guests and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Reserved or assigned concert seating is not included with any package.  Acts are booked and announced between January and June each year and are subject to change without notice.

 

Private Gathering Tent: The private gathering tent is included with each package. The tent is located to the east of the Floriculture Building on Broadway Avenue, near the historical arch gate entrance. The tent is reserved for groups in two-hour time blocks.

 

Meals: BBQs are served weekends at the following times: 12:00 p.m.; 2:30 p.m.; 5:00 p.m.; and 7:30 p.m. Weeknight meal times are 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. For groups larger than 250 adults, longer time blocks may be available. 

In addition to the entrée listed in your group package, your BBQ meal includes:

  • Potato salad
  • Fruit salad
  • Tossed green salad with choice of two dressings
  • Individually wrapped cookie for dessert
  • Bottled water and sodas
  • Paper napkins and compartment plates
  • Plastic flatware
  • Table coverings
  • Set-up and clean-up


Unlimited Carnival Ride Wristbands:
Butler Amusement’s award-winning carnival features more than 35 exciting rides, including 14 rides especially for kiddies. Additional unlimited ride wristbands may be purchased in increments of 25 wristbands at the special discounted price of $20 each until June 25, 2010.
Important Note: Please be advised that ALL riders must either have a ride wristband or ride coupons to enjoy our rides. This includes parents/adults accompanying children who do not meet height requirements to ride alone on family rides.

 

Final Count and Payment:  The final count and payment for your group event is due Friday, June 25, 2010.  Payment may be made by check, Visa, or MasterCard.

 

Banner: Groups that have selected the Best of Show package must submit their company’s logo electronically in full color, as an EPS file, converted to outlines for producing the welcome banner. Artwork is due on or before June 18, 2010.  Email artwork to events@stancofair.com

 

Parking:  While parking is included with every adult package (one parking coupon per adult per package), it is important for your guests to understand that the parking lots may fill to capacity on any given day. Therefore, we highly recommend that your guests arrive by at least 6 p.m. for best availability of a space in the parking lots.  Parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and cannot be guaranteed. Parking coupons are not included with child-priced packages.

 

Delivery: Group package tickets will be hand-delivered to your place of business at a mutually agreeable appointment time the week of July 5, 2010.
