Country Music Vocalist of
the Year Nominee
to perform at Stanislaus County Fair!

music fans mark your calendar now because “In This
Life” you may have only one chance to hear Collin
Raye at the Stanislaus County Fair!
Collin
Raye, who’s hit “In This Life” climbed to number
one in 1992, will take center stage on Sunday,
July 28 on the Budweiser Variety Free Stage.
All concerts
on this stage are included with the price of fair
admission.
Collin
Raye whose first number one single, “Love Me,” hit
audiences in 1991 will perform that and fourteen other
number one hits at this year’s Stanislaus County
Fair. Some
of Raye’s hits include; “One Boy, One Girl, ”
“I Think About You,” “Little Rock,” “I Can
Still Feel You,” and his most recent, “Couldn’t
Last A Moment.” These hits, old and new, still
receive continuous airplay on country radio stations.
“Collin
Raye has an incredible tenor voice and an awesome
ability to write and deliver songs that move whomever
hears them,” shared Pennie Rorex, fair spokeswoman.
Raye’s music has been engraved on tombstones,
received recognition for social conscience, inspired
millions and of course danced to and enjoyed by
millions. “Central Valley residents now have the
opportunity to hear him perform live and be inspired
by a man with a message and the voice to deliver
it,” said Rorex.
In
addition to Colin Raye, Grand
Funk Railroad is scheduled to perform on the
Budweiser Variety Free Stage on Friday,
July 26.
The
Stanislaus County Fair is now in its 91st
year. The 2002 fair opens
Friday, July 26 for a 10-day run.
The theme of this year’s fair is “Through
the Eyes of a Child.”
Last year, a record-number of family members
enjoyed the fair as attendance topped 215,000
visitors.
The
mission of the Stanislaus County Fair is to provide a
family and community oriented experience promoting
agriculture, education, entertainment and technology.
