Peter Frampton & Creedence Clearwater Revisited
to headline at Stanislaus County Fair

Turlock—Two of this century’s most influential acts—brilliant guitarist and singer Peter Frampton and swamp rock legends Creedence Clearwater Revisited will headline at the Stanislaus County Fair!

The classic rock concert is slated for Monday, July 28, at 8:00 p.m. in the Food Maxx Arena.  Tickets for this concert and all arena events will go on sale on Saturday, May 3.

“This Frampton and Creedence concert is going to be awesome,” said Pennie Rorex, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.  “Classic rock fans filled the arena to capacity for Lynyrd Skynyrd last year, proving to us that classic rock is what they want.  We’re bringing those fans exactly what they want again this year!”

Peter Frampton, winner of the prestigious Orville Gibson Lifetime Achievement Award, is known as one of the best guitarists of his time. His chart-topping hits include “Do You Feel Like We Do,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours),” “Baby I Love Your Way” and “Show Me the Way.”

In 2002, Frampton was honored with a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance for “Off the Hook.” The one-man show has sold millions of records and has proven himself as a talented writer, guitarist and singer with lasting impact.

In addition to working on a new album, due out this year, Frampton is hard at work in his company “Framptone,” a successful producer of high-end handmade musical accessories.

Creedence Clearwater Revisited is the “child” of the former Creedence Clearwater Revival which featured original rockers Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford.

The band started with the intention of playing private parties but quickly rose to great fame and now tours internationally. Creedence Clearwater Revisited plays hits from the original band’s cache like “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising” and “Born on the Bayou.”

Creedence Clearwater Revisited recently released “Recollection,” which features 22 classic hits with a new spin that comes with a change in band members. Their music is full of energy and surges with the vibrancy of the American spirit.

“The 2002 Lynyrd Skynyrd concert sold out in less than four days,” said Rorex. “We expect this classic rock concert to sell fast too, so I encourage concert-goers to buy their tickets early!”

Tickets for the Frampton/CCR concert are $15 for reserved grandstand seating and $18 for reserved arena floor seating. General admission tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12.
