Stanislaus County Fair tickets go on sale this Saturday!

Wake up this Saturday and be ready to phone in or log on, or be dressed and out early because Stanislaus County Fair tickets go on sale!

Beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, fair-goers can buy tickets for the Food Maxx Arena events, fair gate admission and discounted carnival admission. 

The lineup in the Food Maxx Arena is:

·        Tuff Trucks—Friday, July 25: $6

·        Truck and Tractor Pulls—Saturday, July 26: $6

·        Peter Frampton/Creedence Clearwater Revisited—Monday, July 28: $15 & $18

·        Rockin’ Roadhouse Tour starring Mark Chesnutt, Joe Diffie, and Tracy Lawrence —Tuesday, July 29: $12 & 16

·        Destruction Derby I: Traditional Turmoil—Wednesday, July 30: $10

·        Destruction Derby II: Metal Mayhem—Thursday, July 31: $8

·        CCPRA Rodeo—Friday, August 1 (free)

·        Motocross Competition—Saturday, August 2: $6

·        Horse & Oxen Pulls—Sunday, August 3 (free)

There are five convenient ways to purchase arena event tickets:

1.  Stanislaus County Fair office: The fair’s office is located at 900 N. Broadway Avenue in Turlock. The ticket office will be open on Saturday, May 3 (only) from 10 am to 3 pm and then each weekday thereafter from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased with cash, VISA or MasterCard. Checks are not accepted at the fair office.

2. Mail order: To request an order-by-mail form visit www.stancofair.com and view the “tickets” page, or call the Fair office at 668-1333 or 524-2660.

3.  Telephone: Arena event tickets can be ordered by telephone by calling 1-800-225-BASS. A    nominal customer convenience fee will be added to the price of the event ticket by tickets.com.

4.  Online: Arena event tickets can be ordered online at www.tickets.com. A nominal customer convenience fee will be added to the price of the event ticket by tickets.com.

5.  Tickets.com Outlets: Arena event tickets can be purchased through ticket outlets which are located in Raley’s Supermarkets in Manteca, Merced, Modesto, Ceres, and Turlock.

Due to popular demand, concert and Destruction Derby tickets are limited to 10 per person/per event on May 3. After May 3, there is no ticket limit.

Fair gate admission and carnival coupons are only available at the fair office and by mail order. Prices are:

          Pre-sale adult fair admission (available only until July 12) is available for $5 per adult (normally $7 per adult).

      Child fair admission (age 6 to 12) is available for $2 per child.

          Carnival advance-sale discount unlimited ride coupon is $15 (valid for use on any weeknight, Monday through Friday, and will only be sold until 5:00 p.m. on July 25).

 

The Stanislaus County Fair is now in its 92nd year.  The 2003 fair opens Friday, July 25 for a       10-day run.  The theme of this year’s fair is “The Place to be in 2003: Saluting the 30th Anniversary of American Graffiti.”

Last year, more than 226,000 family members enjoyed the fair —the largest attendance in the past decade.  In the fall of 2002, Modesto Bee readers voted the Stanislaus County Fair their “Favorite All-Around Event” in the Bee’s Readers’ Choice Awards!

The mission of the Stanislaus County Fair is to provide a family and community oriented experience promoting agriculture, education, entertainment and technology.
