Country music star Phil Vassar set
to rock the Stanislaus County Fair!

Turlock—When do audiences love Phil Vassar? When he’s writing, when he’s singing, when he’s making them dance and scream for more.

Phil Vassar, the 2002 American Country Music Award Winner for New Male Vocalist, will perform on the Budweiser Variety Stage on Saturday, July 26, at 8:30 p.m. All concerts on this stage are included with the price of fair admission.

“The Phil Vassar concert is another one of the many highlights of the 2003 fair,” said Pennie Rorex, Stanislaus County Fair spokesperson. “It will be a night of unforgettable country music.”

Vassar’s hit compositions include Alan Jackson’s “Right on the Money,” Tim McGraw’s “Next 30 Years” and Collin Raye’s “Little Red Rodeo,” among others. He wrote these hits while running his Nashville club-restaurant and performing on the weekends.

Vassar’s first album, “Another Day in Paradise,” exploded on the charts with hits like “Carlene,” “Six Pack Summer” and “That’s When I Love You.” Vassar’s inspiration comes from famous singer-songwriters Billy Joel and Willie Nelson.

Phil Vassar’s new album, American Child, is full of the touching honesty that marks all of Vassar’s hits so it should be no surprise that the title track is already making its way through the charts and the hearts of fans.
