Last call for Stanislaus County Fair
entries in open divisions!
Turlock—Patterson area residents are encouraged to get in on the
fun of exhibiting at this year’s Stanislaus County
Fair but take note—time is almost up!
Do you bake, decorate, can, preserve, or make
homemade brew? How about sew, crochet, spin, weave,
knit, quilt or needlework? Or, does your hobby include
gardening, planting, or arranging?
If so, hurry down to the
Stanislaus County Library—Patterson Branch at 46 N.
Salado to pick up your exhibitor handbook.
But, take note—the
deadline for open entries for the Stanislaus County
Fair is just days away.
Perhaps you raise rabbits, poultry, livestock,
horses, mules, goats, cattle, swine, or sheep?
Or do you grow fruits or nuts? Or how about
bake a great apple pie, whip up a fantastic salsa, or
have a secret recipe for BBQ ribs?
Moms,
dads, grandpas, grandmas, children and tots—if you
would like to display your hobby, craft or trade at
the Stanislaus County Fair, the deadline for the open division is Thursday, June 19.
This exhibit deadline applies for the
following divisions: Open rabbits, industrial arts,
fine art, crafts, and agriculture/horticulture.
Exhibitor
entry forms must be received at the Fair office by 5
p.m. on June 19, 2003 or be postmarked by June 19,
2003.

The
Stanislaus County Fair is now in its 92nd year.
The 2003
fair opens Friday, July 25 for a 10-day run.
The theme of this year’s fair is “The Place
to be in 2003: Saluting the 30th
Anniversary of American Graffiti.”
Last
year, more than 226,000 family members enjoyed the
fair —the largest attendance in the past decade.
In the fall of 2002, Modesto Bee readers voted
the Stanislaus County Fair their “Favorite
All-Around Event” in the Bee’s Readers’ Choice
Awards!
