Stanislaus
County Fair announces first major headliner:
A trio of country superstars
Turlock—It’s
three superstars for the price of one!
Mark
Chesnutt, Joe Diffie and Tracy
Lawrence, the owners
of the most distinctive voices in traditional country
music, will perform at the 2003 Stanislaus County
Fair.
The
“Rockin’
Roadhouse Tour” features the collective talents
of three country superstars—Chesnutt, Diffie and
Lawrence. The threesome will perform individually and
together, on Tuesday,
July 29, at 8:00 p.m. in the Food Maxx Arena.
Tickets
for the concert are $12 for reserved grandstand
seating and $16 for reserved arena floor seating.
General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $6
for children under 12. Tickets
for this concert and all arena events will go on sale
on Saturday, May 3.
“The
‘Rockin’ Roadhouse Tour,’ now in its second
year, is one of the most highly anticipated, must-see
concert experiences,” said Pennie Rorex,
spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “This threesome has already thrilled close to a million
fans nationwide and the tour shows no signs of slowing
down.”
Chesnutt
(“She Was,” “Too Cold at Home,” Brother
Jukebox”), Diffie (“John Deere Green,” “Ships
That Don’t Come In,” “Honky Tonk Attitude”)
and Lawrence (“Lessons Learned,” “Time Marches
On,” “Alibis”) have been hit makers for a dozen
years. The
stars have topped country singles charts an astounding
42 times and sold more than 22 million records.
“Each
one of these country superstars brings a distinctive
style to the show,” said Rorex.
It’s no wonder that the ‘Rockin’ Roadhouse
Tour’ earned a 2002 International Entertainment
Buyers Association award,” said Rorex. “This
concert is what country music is all about—real hits
and real friendship.”
