Bateman
bunch prepare for Stanislaus County Fair exhibit
deadline!
Turlock
–As the Stanislaus County Fair exhibit deadline
approaches, guaranteed to enter are six of the seven
Bateman family children of Turlock.
There’s
a lot more to the Stanislaus County Fair than
thrilling rides, outstanding entertainment and
delicious food. And,
the pile of award ribbons—more than 100—the
Bateman children have won at the Stanislaus County
Fair is evidence of that!
The
Bateman family has a definite presence at the fair
throughout its 10-day run. In fact, the exhibit
building superintendents know the Bateman kids by
name: Phyllip,
age 14; Aleq, age 12; Hannah, age 10; Leah, age 8;
Noah, age 5 and Judah, age 3.
“You’ll find the Batemans’ entries in the
floriculture building, the arts and crafts building,
and even in the agriculture/horticulture building,”
said Laura Moore, exhibits supervisor.
The Stanislaus County Fair offers opportunities
for those pre-kindergarten to senior citizens to
exhibit their talents in areas of livestock,
horticulture, floriculture, fine arts, crafts,
photography and home arts.
Participants, like the Bateman children, are
eligible to win cash prizes, ribbons and even
sponsored gifts.
