Just
days remain to save on carnival
discounts for the Stanislaus County Fair
Turlock
– “The early bird gets the worm,” but time is
running out to buy Stanislaus County Fair discount
carnival tickets!
 “We
encourage people to plan early and take advantage of
the savings on pre-sale carnival admission
discounts,” shared Pennie Rorex, spokesperson for
the Stanislaus County Fair.
“Act now because the sale price ends at 5
p.m. on July 30.”
Discount
carnival ride coupons are only for sale at the
fair office located at 900 N. Broadway, Turlock.
The ticket office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4
p.m. Monday through Friday until Friday, July 23.
Saturday, July 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday,
July 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Beginning Monday,
July 26 through the end of the Fair (Aug. 8) from 8:30
a.m. to 7 p.m.
“Reserved
seat tickets are still on sale for the always-popular
the headliner concerts and arena events too,” said
Rorex. This year’s FoodMaxx Arena headliners are
Sugar Ray, Journey and Brad Paisley.
Reserved
seats for the Journey concert are no longer available.
However, general admission tickets (bleacher
seating/non-reserved) will go on sale at 5 p.m. on the
day of the Journey concert.
General admission tickets for the Journey
concert are $18 for adult, $9 for children (age 12 and
under).
Reserved
seat tickets are still available for the truck and
tractor pulls, motocross competition, the tuff truks
and Destruction Derby II: Metal Mayhem.
Reserved
seat tickets can be purchased in person at the
Stanislaus County Fair office.
Tickets can be purchased with cash, VISA or
MasterCard (checks not accepted).

Stanislaus County Fair is now in its 93rd
year. The
2004 fair opens Friday, July 30 for a 10-day run.
The theme of this year’s fair is “Say
Cheese!”
Last year
more than 225,000 people enjoyed the fair. In 2002 and again in 2003, Modesto Bee readers voted
the Stanislaus County Fair their “Favorite
All-Around Event” in the Bee’s Reader’s
Choice Awards.
