Little
Texas brings big hits to the Stanislaus County Fair
Turlock
– Stanislaus County Fair officials have done it
again; they had added another award winning band to
its impressive lineup on the free stage.
Little
Texas, known for hits like “Some Guys Have All The
Love,” “What Might Have Been” and “God Blessed
Texas” will perform on Saturday, August 7, at 8:30
p.m. on the Budweiser
Variety Free Stage at the Stanislaus
County Fair.
All concerts on this stage are included with
the price of fair admission.
“We are
excited to have Little Texas playing our fair,” said
Pennie Rorex, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County
Fair. “They
have been making great country music for years and
after a 6-year pause in their career they still have
what it takes to bring a foot-stompin’ crowd to
their feet!”
Duane
Propes, Porter Howell, Dwayne O’Brien and Del Gray
are all four founding members and have returned to the
country music scene after a six-year hiatus. Along
with the four founding members of Little Texas is a
new lead singer, Steven Troy.
“We’ve been so fortunate,” said Duane
Propes. “Our fans have held strong and kept the
Little Texas spirit alive, and the music is still as
popular as it’s ever been.
Now, with the addition of Steven, we’re ready
to say hello again.”
Little
Texas, a multi-platinum group, has been nominated
three times for a Grammy, and they have been bestowed
with many industry accolades including Vocal Group of
the Year by the Academy of Country Music, Album of the
Year by the Country Music Association, Video of the
Year from Billboard Magazine, and the #1 Video
of the Year from CMT for their chart topping single,
“My Love.”
Little Texas remains in the Top 50 of all acts
being played on country radio and have sold almost 7
million units.
