Stanislaus
County Fair announces first of three headliner
concerts—Brad Paisley
Turlock–He
sings about celebrities and the country music
superstar knows best—Brad Paisley is a celebrity
himself and he’s set to perform at the Stanislaus
County Fair.
Paisley,
known for great hits like “Little Moments,”
“Celebrity,” “ I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishing
Song),” “We Danced” and “He Didn’t Have to
Be,” will perform in the FoodMaxx Arena on Tuesday,
August 3, at 8 p.m. at the Stanislaus
County Fair. Reserved seat tickets for the Stanislaus
County Fair and all the FoodMaxx arena events go on
sale on Saturday, May 1, 2004.
“We are
extremely excited to have Brad back at the fair,”
said Pennie Rorex, spokesperson for the Stanislaus
County Fair. “He
is a true celebrity in the country music world and we
are expecting a sold out show!”
Paisley’s
career has skyrocketed in the past few years.
For the past year and a half he has been the
most-nominated and most-awarded new country artist.
He has won two Country Music Association
Awards. Paisley
also was named in the November “2001 Sexiest Men”
issue of People,
and in Teen People was named one of the 14 “Hottest Guys in Music.”
Tickets for the Brad Paisley concert are $18
for reserved grandstand seating and $20 for reserved
arena floor seating.
General admission tickets are $16 for adults
and $8 for children under 12.

The
Stanislaus County Fair is now in it’s 93rd
year. The
2004 fair opens Friday, July 30 for a 10-day run.
The theme for this year’s fair is “Say
Cheese!”
Last year
more than 225,000 people enjoyed the fair.
In 2002 and again in 2003, Modesto Bee
readers voted the Stanislaus County Fair their
“Favorite All-Around Event” in the Bee’s
Reader’s Choice Awards.
