Stanislaus County Fair
discount deadline July 16
Turlock
– Less than one week remains to purchase
discounted admission tickets for the Stanislaus
County Fair and just two weeks remain to take
advantage of carnival discounts.
Saturday,
July 16 is the deadline to conveniently purchase
pre-fair discount tickets on-line and at the fair
office. Presale adult fair admission is just $6 ($8
at the gate). Child admission is also available
online for just $2.
Also available online
through July 16 are advance sale carnival
wristbands. In addition, advance sale carnival
wristbands are on sale at the fair office through
July 29 at 5 p.m.
On-line sales can be
made with Visa or MasterCard. A $2 on-line
processing fee, per complete order, will be added at
checkout. Purchases made through the Fair’s web
site are made using a secure connection (SSL) and
all information is transmitted in an encrypted form.
“Our mission is to
promote agriculture, entertainment, education and
technology,” said Pennie Rorex, spokesperson for the
Stanislaus County Fair. “Making the Fair’s
discounts easily accessible through the technology
and the convenience of the internet is yet another
way we are working to accomplish our mission.”
Discounted tickets
ordered online are sent by U.S. mail directly to the
buyer’s home or business address.
For the convenience of
persons who wish to purchase tickets in person the
fair office hours have been extended and now
include Saturday hours.
The fair office is now
open on the following dates and times: Through July
16: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m; July 18-21: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
July 22-23: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; July 24: 8a.m. to
5p.m.; July 25-Aug. 7: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fair
ticket office hours are as follows:
July 16: 8:30a.m. to 4p.m.; July 18-21: 8:30a.m. to
4p.m.; July 22-23: 8:30a.m. to 6 p.m.; July 24:
8:30a.m. to 4p.m.; July 25-Aug. 7: 8:30a.m. to 7p.m.
Please note the Fair office and ticket office are
both closed on Sunday, July 17.
On sale only through
July 29 at 5 p.m. are carnival pay-one-price ride
wristbands. The price is just $17 for an unlimited
ride wristband, good for one weeknight of rides
(Monday through Friday). After 5 p.m. on July 29,
the cost for unlimited ride wristbands will be $20
for weeknights and $25 for Saturday and Sundays.

Fair is well known for the outstanding entertainment
it features each year, included with the price of
fair admission, on the Budweiser Variety Free

The Stanislaus County Fair is now in its
94th year. The 2005 fair opens
Friday, July 29 for a 10-day run. The theme of
this year’s fair is “Tropical Nights and Midway
Lights.” Last year more than 225,000 people enjoyed
the fair. In 2002 and again in 2003, Modesto Bee
readers voted the Stanislaus County Fair their
“Favorite All-Around Event” in the Bee’s
Reader’s Choice Awards.
