RIGHTEOUS BROTHER TO
UNCHAIN MELODY AT STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR
Turlock – Oldies music lovers are
in for a real flash from the past when Righteous
Brother Bill Medley performs at the Stanislaus
County Fair this summer.
Righteous Brother Bill Medley, known for
hits like “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” “You’ve
Lost that Lovin’ Feeling” and “Unchained Melody,” is
slated to perform on the Budweiser Variety Free
Stage on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at the
Stanislaus County Fair. This concert will be hosted
by Oldies 97.5 KABX and is included with the
price of fair admission.
“Righteous Brother
Bill Medley is sure to be a fantastic show,” said
Tony Leo, chief executive officer of the Stanislaus
County Fair. “With his successful career and such
well-known songs, this concert is going to be
bursting at the seams with energy!”
Medley loves to perform on stage. “I
just feel so alive when I’m sharin’ with the
audience,” said Medley. Born in Los Angeles and
raised in Orange County’s Santa Ana, Medley always
had a passion for music. His father led a big band
and played saxophone and his mother played piano and
sang.
Hearing Ray Charles
perform made Medley realize that making music for a
living is what he needed. Medley taught himself to
play piano, which led to writing songs. Medley had
his own group “The Paramours” when he was introduced
to Bobby Hatfield who had his own group “The
Variations.” After singing together one night they
decided to combine groups and form what would become
“The Righteous Brothers.”
In addition to having
a career with The Righteous Brothers, Medley has had
a successful career as a solo artist recording 14
albums.
