TERRI CLARK TO PLAY
STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR FREE STAGE
Turlock – Stanislaus County Fair
officials have booked country music star Terri Clark
as part of the jam-packed free entertainment planned
for the 2005 Stanislaus County Fair.
Clark, known for hits like “Easy On The
Eyes,” “Emotional Girl” and “I Wanna Do It All,”
will perform on the Budweiser Variety Free Stage
on Saturday, August 6, at 8:30 p.m. at
the Stanislaus County Fair. This concert will be
hosted by KAT Country 103 and is included with
the price of fair admission.
“Terri Clark is a sassy country singer
who can easily connect with her fans,” said Pennie
Rorex, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.
“She likes to honky tonk it up and that’s just what
she’ll do at the fair!”
Terri Clark dreamt about being a country
star since she was a little girl–but it’s not a
dream any longer. Clark remembers the moment she
first started to break through her dream and start
living it. She was listening to a clock radio in her
hotel room and suddenly she heard her voice coming
through it! “It was me! I started jumping up and
down on the bed, ended up hitting my head on the
ceiling–screaming and feeling all the energy in my
body,” Clark said. She says that her experience
shows the power of dreams–that they can come true.
In 2005, Clark was nominated for Top
Female Vocalist and the Music Video of the Year
(“Girls Lie Too”) by the Academy of Country Music
Awards, where Clark was a presenter.
Clark won the Canadian Country Music Association
Fans' Choice Entertainer of the Year in 1997, 2001,
2002 and 2003. “Looking back on 10 years…I can’t
think of anything I’d trade for it,” said Clark.
“And that’s when you know every bumpy road’s worth
it.”
