DIERKS BENTLEY IS COMING TO THE FAIR’S FREE STAGE
Turlock – Stanislaus County Fair
officials have booked another sensational act on the
Budweiser Variety Free Stage, Country music hunk
Dierks Bentley!
Bentley,
known for hits like “What Was I Thinkin,” “My Last
Name” and “How Am I Doin,” is slated to perform on
the Budweiser Variety Free Stage on
Sunday, July 31 at 8:30 p.m. at the
Stanislaus County fair. This concert will be hosted
by KAT Country 103 and is included with the price
of fair admission.
“We are ecstatic to
have Dierks Bentley performing at the Fair,” said
Tony Leo, chief executive officer of the Stanislaus
County Fair. “He is a fan favorite and his concert
is sure to be standing room only, so fans, get there
early to get your seat!”
Bentley works hard for what he wants,
and being a country music singer is what he wanted.
Bentley started playing the music his classmates
listened to–mostly rock. Then, in high school, his
focus was changed when a friend of his played a song
called “Man to Man” by Hank Williams Jr. “That
moment really changed my whole perspective,” said
Bentley. “Everything just clicked. I just knew I
loved country music.”
At the age of 19, Bentley moved from his home town
of Phoenix, Arizona and headed east to Nashville.
Bentley immersed
himself in the Nashville music scene. His sound is a
blend of traditional, bluegrass and modern country
and it works with young audiences. He proved
himself by cutting his own album with hand-picked
sidemen from various backgrounds. Capitol Nashville
saw someone rooted yet independent in Bentley and
offered him a record deal.
