EXHIBIT YOUR HOBBY OR CRAFT AT THE STANISLAUS COUNTY
FAIR
Turlock – Plan now to show off
your hobby or craft at the Stanislaus County Fair.
Do you bake, decorate, can, preserve, or
make a homemade brew? How about sew, crochet,
weave, knit, quilt or needlework? Or, does your
hobby include
gardening, planting or arranging?
Then hula down to the Stanislaus County Fair and
join thousands of your neighbors and friends who
exhibit their creative talents. But, act now
because entry deadlines are as early as May 27.
“Last year we received more than 25,500
individual entries at the Stanislaus County Fair,”
said Tony Leo, chief executive officer of the
Stanislaus County Fair. “The exhibit program is the
heart of our fair and it is what sets a fair apart
from a traditional amusement park.”
The theme of
this year’s fair is “Tropical Nights and Midway
Lights” and several of the exhibit divisions are
going tropical. One of the Lego contests
challenges kids to build something tropical—like a
palm tree or a surf board. Plus, there’s a
photography division especially for photos of one’s
best comical beach outfit or activity. There’s even
a Floriculture division that invites exhibitors to
design a tropical mini garden.
There are special food contests for
cookies, fudge, BBQ ribs, apple and sweet potato
pies, jam, homemade ice-cream and fresh-made salsa.
Exhibit opportunities are endless--there’s something
for everybody and every age exhibitor.
