Blue
VELVET love songs at stanislaus county fair!
Turlock – Cupid
has set his sights on Turlock and he is sending
Ambassador of Love, Bobby Vinton to the Stanislaus
County Fair.
The man Billboard Magazine called
“the all-time most successful love singer of the
‘Rock Era’” will woo fans on the Budweiser
Variety Free Stage Friday, Friday, Aug. 4 at 8:30
p.m. All concerts on this stage are included with
the price of fair gate admission. Best known for
classic love songs like “Roses are Red” and “Blue
Velvet,” Bobby Vinton’s music speaks a language
everyone can understand – the language of love.
“Bobby Vinton is the genuine article,”
said Pennie Rorex, spokesperson for the Stanislaus
County Fair. “It is so exciting to have a Hollywood
walk-of-famer bring his talents to the stage at this
year’s fair.”
With over three decades of performances
under his belt, Bobby Vinton shows no signs of
slowing down. “Mr. Lonely,” one of his earliest hits
has reemerged on the charts with a fresh sound
thanks to up-and-coming rapper Akon whose sampling
of the classic shot up the Billboard charts in 2005.
Over the years Vinton has showcased his many talents
as a musician, singer, actor and television
personality.
