free ballroom dance lessons at the Stanislaus county fair

Turlock – So you think you can’t dance? This year, the Stanislaus County Fair is partnering with You Can Dance Co. to show you how!

Guests of all ages are invited to join Xavier and Heidi Gomez, owners of You Can Dance Co., at the Coors Center Stage dance slab for free ballroom dance lessons.  Joining in the fun will be local celebrity guest stars who will be learning the steps too, on nine nights of the Stanislaus County Fair’s 10-day run. This attraction is free with the price of fair admission so you can cut a rug, but not a hole in your wallet.

“I know many of us have wanted to take ballroom dance classes but we have not waltzed forward to actually do it,” said Pennie Rorex, fair spokesperson. “Whether you have two left feet, no partner or feel like a little bit of a wall flower, You Can Dance Co.’s lessons are the perfect opportunity to give ballroom dancing a try.”

“Those who prefer to watch from the sidelines will have just as much fun observing local guest celebrities learning the dance steps along with fair guests.”

This brand new event at the Stanislaus County Fair combines the excitement of ballroom dance with the community involvement of local celebrities. Fair guests are invited to join celebrity guest students—radio personalities, banking executives, elected officials and even media moguls for lessons in everything from Swing to Salsa. Each lesson is tailored for the beginner and promises to be a lot of fun for the whole family.
