“LA Reina Del Pueblo” returns to Stanislaus county fair

            Turlock – Graciela Beltran has been scheduled to make her highly-anticipated return to the Stanislaus County Fair.

            Graciela Beltran, who drew a record audience at the 2004 fair, will return to the Budweiser Variety Free Stage on Sunday, Aug. 6 at 8:30 p.m. This concert, hosted by RADIO LOBO 98.7 FM, is free with the price of fair admission.

            “We were very impressed with Graciela Beltran in 2004,” said Pennie Rorex, fair spokesperson. “After an amazing performance like that, we are very excited to have her back this year.”  

            A child prodigy with an exceptional and distinctive voice and a radiant personality, from the tender age of 6 Graciela Beltran has achieved hit after hit. In her January release, Rancherisimas con Banda, Graciela Beltran proves once again that her versatility and vocal skill know no bounds. When it comes to Regional Mexican music, the Queen of the People continues to be one of its greatest exponents, giving her whole self to her music and her public.

Graciela Beltran is the 10th and final concert on the Budweiser Variety Free Stage to be announced for the 2006 Stanislaus County Fair. With six stages filled with entertainment each night of its 10-day run, the fair has something to offer every member of the family. 

            As of today, the lineup on the Budweiser Variety Free Stage includes:

  • Pablo Cruise: Friday, July 28 at 8:30 p.m.

  • The Spinners: Saturday, July 29 at 8:30 p.m.

  • Neal McCoy: Sunday, July 30 at 8:30 p.m.

  • 4Him (Finale Tour): Monday, July 31 at 8:30 p.m.

  • The Diamonds and The Coasters: Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 8:30 p.m.

  • John Kay & Steppenwolf: Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 8:30 p.m.

  • SHeDAISY: Thursday, Aug. 3 at 8:30 p.m.

  • Bobby Vinton: Friday, Aug. 4 at 8:30 p.m.

  • The Charlie Daniels Band: Saturday Aug. 5 at 8:30 p.m.

            In addition to the Budweiser Variety Free Stage entertainment included with fair gate admission, tickets are on sale now for major celebrity concerts and motorsports events in the fair’s FoodMaxx Arena including:

  • Tuff Truks: Friday, July 28

  • Truck and Tractor Pulls: Saturday, July 29

  • Lee Ann Womack with special guest Ronnie Milsap: Monday, July 31

  • Huey Lewis and The News with special guest Paul Thorn: Tuesday, Aug. 1

  • Destruction Derby I: Traditional Turmoil: Wednesday, Aug. 2

  • Destruction Derby II: Metal Mayhem: Thursday, Aug. 3

  • CCPRA Rodeo: Friday, Aug. 4 (FREE with price of fair admission)

  • Motocross: Saturday, Aug. 5

The Stanislaus County Fair is now in its 95th year. The 2006 fair opens Friday, July 28 for a 10-day run. The theme of this year’s fair, “Pig Out on Family Fun,” is sure to provide a good time for kids and adults alike. The fair has twice been honored with Modesto Bee Reader’s Choice Awards for “Favorite All-Around Event.”
