THREE COUNTRY ACTS ON ONE
BIG NIGHT OF FAIR
Turlock, CA—
Not one, not two, but three awesome country
bands will bring great country music to the 2007
Stanislaus County Fair—all in one night!
Little Texas,
Restless Heart and BlackHawk have joined
together for the “Triple Threat Tour”
and will take to the Budweiser Variety
Free Stage on Tuesday, July 31 at 8:30 p.m. at
the Stanislaus County Fair. This concert is
hosted by KAT COUNTRY 103 FM. All concerts
are free with the price of Fair admission.
“We are excited to
bring three outstanding country bands, all with
a powerful catalogue of hits, to the 2007 fair,”
said Pennie Rorex, fair spokesperson.
Restless Heart was
one of RCA’s greatest band success stories,
producing a series of gold-selling albums. The
group also garnered a host of award nominations
and crossed over to the adult contemporary
charts with hits such as “I’ll Still Be Loving
You,” “Tender Lie,” “When She Cries,” “Why Does
It Have to Be (Wrong or Right),” “Bluest Eyes in
Texas” and “Dancy’s Dream.” Their hit “When She
Cries,” was named BMI Song of the Year in 1993.
Taking
the country music world by storm, the powerhouse
trio of BlackHawk has their own share of hits.
They have 15 Top 40 hits, including “Every Once
in a While,” “That’s Just About Right” and “I’m
Not Strong Enough to Say No.” The three man
band, Henry Paul, Dave Robbins and Anthony
Crawford are singers and songwriters of the same
generation with similar musical influence making
for an equation for great chemistry and
music.
Little Texas was
known as “the hardest working band in country
music,” as it is typical for this band to play
over 300 shows a year.
Before
hitting the big time, the band crisscrossed
America for three years touring without a bus, a
driver, or support from a label and that hard
work shows up even today. After the album
First Time for Everything was released, five
singles reached the top of the charts. Their
second album Big Time produced three
number one singles, “What Might Have Been,” “God
Blessed Texas” and “My Love.” The group captured
a CMT award, a Billboard award, a Radio &
Records award and a Grammy nomination, selling
over three million copies.
