STANISLAUS
COUNTY FAIR TICKETS GO ON SALE MAY 5!

Turlock – It’s going to be more than a fair deal the first Saturday in May when discount admission, carnival and motorsports tickets go on sale for the 2007 Stanislaus County Fair.

On Saturday, May 5, 2007, beginning at 10 a.m., tickets go on sale for the Stanislaus County Fair’s motorsports events, including three exciting new events.  In addition, discount Fair admission and discounts on unlimited carnival rides will also go on sale.  There are five convenient ways to purchase tickets and details are available at www.stancofair.com.

“This year all celebrity concerts are included with the price of Fair admission,” said Pennie Rorex, Stanislaus County Fair spokesperson.  “Therefore, by purchasing discounted Fair admission in advance our Fair guests will have the opportunity to see major celebrity concerts, like LeAnn Rimes, for just $6.”

“We have also added three new motorsports events to our lineup in the FoodMaxx Arena,” said Rorex. “The first new event is quad drags and thrill-seeking motorcycle jumpers on Aug. 1.  The second new event is an exhilarating night of QuadCross and Pee Wee Bikes.  And, the third new event is the return of the Mug Bog to the Stanislaus County Fair.”

As always, Fair officials anticipate that Destruction Derby I Traditional Turmoil tickets will sell out in less than a half hour.  Therefore, derby fans are encouraged to be online at tickets.com or at ticket.com outlets in Raley’s, or calling Tickets.com at 1-800-225-2277, exactly at 10 a.m. when tickets go on sale.

The motorsports lineup in the FoodMaxx Arena is:

·        Tuff Truks: Friday, July 27 / $8

·        Truck and Tractor Pulls: July 28 / $10

·        Destruction Derby I Traditional Turmoil: July 30 / $12

·        Destruction Derby II Metal Mayhem: July 31 / $10

·        NEW! Quad Drags and Motorcycle Jumpers: Aug. 1 / $8

·        NEW! QuadCross and Pee Wee Bikes: Aug. 3 / $8

·        Motocross: Aug. 4 / $10

·        NEW! Mud Bog: Aug. 5 / $8

Because of the demand for Destruction Derby I, Traditional Turmoil sales on May 5 (only) will be limited to ten (10) tickets per person and/or per credit card for this event.

Also new for the 2007 fair is the convenience of purchasing and printing eTickets from the comfort of your own home computer for Fair admission and unlimited carnival rides. eTickets also go on sale on May 5 at www.stancofair.com. Fair guests can save up to 32 percent on unlimited ride wristbands and $2 off the regular price of adult admission.  Discount prices are offered until the day before the Fair opens—Thursday, July 26 at 7 p.m. While discounts conclude the day before the Fair opens, Fair guests can still save time at the admission gate by purchasing eTickets online all the way through closing day of the Fair.

The Stanislaus County Fair Midway, sponsored by Taco Bell, will feature nearly 40 exciting attractions, including the Giant Wheel and the merry-go-round for the young and the young at heart.

For more information on the variety of in-person and online methods available to purchase Fair tickets visit www.stancofair.com.

The Stanislaus County Fair is now in its 96th year. The 2007 fair opens Friday, July 27 for a 10-day run. The theme of this year’s fair, “Summer Safari,” will provide a great adventure for kids and adults alike. The mission of the Stanislaus County Fair is to provide a family and community oriented experience promoting agriculture, education, entertainment and technology.
