STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR
RECOGNIZED BY FAIR INDUSTRY
The results are in and
the Stanislaus County Fair is the winner in three
award categories.
During a January
conference of the Western Fairs Association, the
Stanislaus County Fair was honored at the
organization’s annual awards banquet. The Fair was
recognized with a first place award for its
exceptional media kit. In addition, a photograph
captured during the 2006 fair by the Patterson
Irrigator also garnered a first place award in
the “Give It Your Best Shot” (Entertainment)
category. Winning a third place award was
Turlock Living Magazine’s 2006 special
fair-related issue in the “Books, Magazines and
Newsletter” category.
The Western Fairs
Association is a professional non-profit trade
association serving the fair industry throughout 14
western United States, Canada and British Columbia.
Its 84th Annual Convention and Trade Show
was held in Reno, Nevada.
The Stanislaus County
Fair’s media kit is a vital tool for newspaper,
radio and television representatives with a purpose
to assist the media in reporting accurate and timely
information about the Stanislaus County Fair. “The
Stanislaus County Fair leadership team is amazing
and everyone works hard to contribute accurate
information for the guide. It’s a great honor to
receive these awards,” said Pennie Rorex, director
of Communications and Marketing for the Stanislaus
County Fair. "The fair will continue to put its
best work forward every year."
The Stanislaus County
Fair, now in its 96th year, opens Friday,
July 27 for a 10-day run. The theme of this year’s
fair, “Summer Safari,” is sure to provide a great
adventure for both kids and adults. Discount
carnival and admission tickets for the 2007 fair, as
well as tickets for all motorsports events in the
FoodMaxx Arena, go on sale Saturday, May 5, 2007.
