REO
SPEEDWAGON ROLLS TO STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR
Turlock—Just months after releasing their
first album in more than a decade, REO
Speedwagon will travel to Turlock to perform at
the Stanislaus County Fair.
Fair officials announced today that classic rock
band REO Speedwagon will take to the Budweiser
Variety Free Stage on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at
8:30 p.m. All concerts on this stage are
included with the price of fair admission. The
concert will be hosted by The Hawk 104.1.
“REO
Speedwagon is rolling full throttle with the
spring 2007 release of their brand new album
Find Your Own Way Home,” said Pennie Rorex,
spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.
“REO is a classic yet contemporary addition to
our fantastic free concert line up.”
The
roots of the REO Speedwagon’s new album go back
to the spring of 2000, when the band joined
forces with fellow Midwest rockers Styx for a
national, sold-out, co-headlining tour. The
tour proved to be such a commercial success that
it was recorded live and released on both CD and
DVD, jokingly entitled “Arch Allies”. The bands
appeared together on the Today show, VH1
and on numerous syndicated radio shows,
including The Howard Stern Show.
REO Speedwagon’s
number one hits include, “Can’t Fight This
Feeling” and “Keep On Loving You,” as
well as the classics “Roll With the Changes,”
“Keep Pushing,” “Time for Me to Fly,”
“Riding the Storm Out,” and “Take It
On the Run.”
