and ffa exhibit deadlines draw near

            Turlock – Make that final sprinkle of Miracle Grow and put the finishing touch on your apple pie recipes kids; Stanislaus County Fair exhibit entry deadlines for 4-H and FFA divisions are closer than you think.

            The exhibit deadlines for the Stanislaus County Fair 4-H and FFA departments are Thursday, June 7 and Thursday, June 21 by 5 p.m.  This is the final chance for exhibitors in these divisions to enter their hard work in the Stanislaus County Fair.

            The June 7 deadline applies to the following 4-H and FFA exhibits:

  • Horse

  • Livestock

  • Poultry

  • Rabbits

  • Still Exhibits (except FFA Ag Mechanics, Ag-Hort (fruits and vegetables) and Ornamental Horticulture (flowers, plants and gardens)

The June 21 deadline applies to the following 4-H and FFA exhibits:

  • FFA Ag Mechanics

  • Ag Hort (fruits and vegetables)

  • Ornamental Horticulture Divisions (flowers, plants and gardens)

Deadlines for open (exhibitors who are not members of 4-H or FFA) junior and senior divisions are approaching, too.  The first deadline for open junior and senior exhibitors is June 21.

The Stanislaus County Fair is now in its 96th year. The 2007 fair opens Friday, July 27 for a 10-day run. The theme of this year’s fair, “Summer Safari,” will provide a great adventure for kids and adults alike.
