KIDS PARTIES
NEW AT THE STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR
The
Stanislaus County Fair now offers
kids party packages which include a
lot more than a boxed meal with a
toy inside.
New at the 2008
Stanislaus County Fair is the
opportunity to host a kids
party—a birthday party or an
outright summer celebration.
Each Saturday and Sunday during the
10-day run of the Fair has been set
aside for kids parties. The
“Unlimited Fun” and the “Deluxe Fair
Fun” party packages include Fair
admission, parking for the party
host, a shaded gathering area, corn
dogs, cotton candy and carnival
rides. Kids party packages are for
groups of 12 or more and must be
scheduled in advance.
Kids
party dates are Saturdays
(July 26 and August 2) and Sundays
(July 27 and August 3). Party times
are 12:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m.; or 4:00
p.m. Complete party package details
and downloadable party invitations
are available at
www.stancofair.com (group
picnics and parties page).
“What better way to celebrate a
special occasion or your child’s
birthday than at Stanislaus County’s
largest family-oriented event,” said
Pennie Rorex, spokesperson for the
Stanislaus County Fair. “Our special
events planner will take care of all
the details.”
Party reservations can be
made via email at
events@stancofair.com. Or,
contact the Fair’s Special Events
Assistant Diane Coryell at
209-667-7024. The deadline for party
reservations is June 15.
Also
new for 2008 Stanislaus County Fair
is a company picnic program for
groups of 100 or more. Company
picnic details are also available on
the Fair’s website.
The
2008 Stanislaus County Fair opens
Friday, July 25 for a 10-day run.
Discounted Fair admission tickets
and unlimited ride wristbands are
now on sale at www.stancofair.com.
Motor sports and bull riding event
tickets go on sale on Saturday, May
3, 2008, at 10 a.m. Visit the Fair’s
website for complete ticket sales
details.
This
year’s Stanislaus County Fair is
themed “Nuts are DINO-mite,” a
salute to the valley’s robust nut
industry. The Almond Board of
California, a major sponsor of the
Fair’s themed tribute, will be
offering free samples of almonds
each day of the Fair.
New to
the 2008 Fair will be Jurassic
Journey, an 8,000 square foot
life-size dinosaur replica exhibit.
The dinosaur exhibit is sponsored by
Sky Trek Aviation and is making its
California debut at the Stanislaus
County Fair.
In
2008, the Stanislaus County Fair was
awarded a first place award for the
best Overall Children’s Program by
the Western Fairs Association. The
mission of the Stanislaus County
Fair is to provide a family and
community oriented experience
promoting agriculture, education,
entertainment and technology.
