Program Purpose
The Junior Fair Board exists to:
- Encourage youth leadership and civic involvement
- Promote agriculture, education, and community service
- Provide hands-on experience in event operations and public engagement
- Develop skills in communication, responsibility, and teamwork
Member Responsibilities
Junior Fair Board members may assist with:
- Fair and year-round events
- Guest services and community outreach
- Livestock and competitive exhibit support
- Educational activities and youth programs
- Committee work and special projects
Participation requirements include attending meetings, completing volunteer service hours, and maintaining good standing within the program.
Eligibility & Commitment
- Open to students typically ages 14–20
- Must demonstrate responsibility, professionalism, and community involvement
- Members are expected to uphold Fair policies and represent the Fair positively

Leadership & Experience
JFB members have opportunities to:
- Serve on committees
- Participate in leadership roles
- Gain behind-the-scenes experience at the Fair
- Build resumes and develop skills applicable to future careers
The program provides meaningful mentorship and real-world experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Applications for the Junior Fair Board are accepted annually. Interested students are encouraged to review eligibility requirements and submit an application during the open enrollment period.
