The Stanislaus County Fair is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, family-friendly, and enjoyable experience for all guests. By entering the Fairgrounds, guests agree to comply with the following policies and guidelines.
Admission & Entry
- All guests must have a valid ticket, pass, or credential to enter the Fairgrounds.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Guests, their persons, and their personal property are subject to security screening and search, including bags, backpacks, coolers, packages, and other items, upon entry or while on Fairgrounds property.

Refusal to consent to security screening or search may result in denied entry or removal from the Fairgrounds.

Re-entry is permitted only with a valid hand stamp or approved re-entry credential.

The Fair reserves the right to deny entry or remove any guest for failure to comply with Fair policies, security procedures, or staff instructions.
Prohibited Items
For the safety of all guests, the following items are not permitted on the Fairgrounds:

Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, pepper spray, mace, replicas, or items that could be used as weapons

Illegal substances, drugs, drug paraphernalia, cannabis, or cannabis products

Outside alcohol, open containers, or alcoholic beverages

Glass containers

Stickers, decals, labels, or adhesives of any kind, including those applied to walls, signs, benches, restrooms, ride surfaces, vendor booths, fencing, or any Fairground property. Defacing or damaging Fair property is strictly prohibited.

Fireworks, explosives, flammable materials, or firecrackers

Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles

Skateboards, hoverboards, scooters, bicycles, rollerblades, skates, or Segways

Laser pointers

Ice chests or coolers

Outside food or beverages (unless for medical reasons)

Chairs, tents, tables, or large shade umbrellas

Pets or animals other than approved service animals
- Masks, costumes, or face coverings intended to conceal identity or evade security measures, except as required for medical, religious, occupational, or approved performance purposes
- Unauthorized signs, banners, flags, or poles
- Noise-making devices, including air horns or amplified devices

Any other item deemed dangerous or inappropriate by Fair Management
Alcohol, Tobacco & Cannabis

Alcohol may only be purchased and consumed responsibly.

Valid identification is required for alcohol purchases.

Smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, tobacco products, and cannabis use are not permitted anywhere on the Fairgrounds.
Conduct
Guests are expected to behave in a respectful and orderly manner at all times. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Fighting, aggressive behavior, disorderly conduct, or harassment

Throwing objects or engaging in unsafe behavior

Blocking or obstructing walkways, exits, booths, exhibits, stages, or attractions

Use of abusive, disruptive, threatening, or profane language

Damage to, theft of, vandalism of, or destruction of property

Solicitation, selling, or distribution of materials without prior written approval

Gang-related activity, including intimidation, threats, gestures, recruitment, or behavior deemed by Fair Management or law enforcement to be disruptive or unsafe
- Loitering, disruptive gathering, or remaining on the Fairgrounds after closing
- Engaging in any activity prohibited by federal, state, or local law, including but not limited to public intoxication, fighting, theft, vandalism, destruction of property, possession of illegal items or substances, or other unlawful acts. (Such acts may result in removal from the Fairgrounds and will be reported to on-duty Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office personnel.)

Failure to comply with posted rules or directions from Fair staff, security personnel, or law enforcement
Guests who violate Fair policies may be denied entry, removed from the premises without refund, and/or subject to law enforcement action.
Dress Code

Shirts and shoes are required at all times.

Guest attire must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment.

Clothing, accessories, tattoos, or body coverings displaying language, images, symbols, colors, or messages deemed by Fair Management to be obscene, profane, vulgar, indecent, violent, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or indicative of gang affiliation or gang-related activity are strictly prohibited.

Attire that encourages or promotes illegal behavior, or is suggestive of such content, is not permitted.
- Studded belts, spiked accessories, or attire deemed dangerous, disruptive, or capable of causing injury are prohibited.
- Management reserves the right to make final determinations regarding appropriate attire.
The Fair reserves the right to deny entry or require removal of any guest whose attire does not comply with these guidelines.
Animals

Only service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted.

Emotional support animals and pets are not allowed.

Service animals must remain leashed, harnessed, and under control at all times.
Youth Supervision
Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision, safety, and conduct of minors attending the Fair. Unattended or unsupervised minors may be subject to removal from the premises. The Fair assumes no responsibility for unattended minors.
Photography & Media
- Personal photography and video recording are permitted for non-commercial use.

Professional photography, videography, livestreaming, interviews, or commercial/media-related activity requires prior approval from Fair Management.

Influencers, content creators, bloggers, streamers, social media personalities, or anyone filming for promotional, sponsored, or monetized content must check in with the Fair Media Office prior to conducting activities on Fairgrounds property.
- Media credentials remain the property of the Fair and may be revoked at any time.

The Fair reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to approve, deny, limit, or revoke media access, filming privileges, interviews, or content creation activities at any time.

Unauthorized commercial filming, photography, or promotional activity may result in removal from the Fairgrounds.
By entering the Fairgrounds, guests grant permission to be photographed or recorded for promotional, marketing, security, or broadcast purposes.
Safety, Authority & Liability
Assumption of Risk & Liability Disclaimer
By entering the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds, guests acknowledge that attendance involves inherent risks, including but not limited to crowds, rides, animals, equipment, weather conditions, and other activities.
Guests voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur while on the Fairgrounds, to the fullest extent permitted by California law.
The Stanislaus County Fair, the 38th District Agricultural Association, the State of California, and their officers, employees, agents, contractors, and volunteers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
Fair Authority
Fair Management reserves the right to:

- Conduct security screenings and searches of persons and property
- Remove guests for rule violations

Modify rules as necessary for safety or operational needs
All guests must comply with posted signage and follow instructions from Fair staff, security, and law enforcement at all times.
